Tandem Diabetes Care Sponsors "Greatest Awards Show in Diabetes"
SAN DIEGO, CA, August 13, 2013
Tandem Diabetes Care®, Inc. ("Tandem") announced today that it is the Presenting Sponsor of The Greatest Awards Show in Diabetes, presented by Insulindependence (IN), a nonprofit organization dedicated to uniting, expanding, and supporting the active lives of people with diabetes. The event will be hosted at the House of Blues in San Diego, August 17, 2013 as the red carpet highlight of IN's 2013 North American Conference on Diabetes and Exercise. This year's show will bring together some of the biggest names in diabetes to recognize the year's most notable achievements in diabetes and sport.
Masters of Ceremonies are diabetes patient blogger Kerri Morrone Sparling (SixUntilMe.com) and Mt. Everest Climber and Ironman Triathlete Sebastien Sasseville. Both have Type 1 diabetes.
Insulindependence and Tandem Diabetes Care will honor eight individuals, including this year's winner of the Paula and Lew Harper Collegiate Scholarship ($1,000) and Grand Prize Athletic Achievement Award ($5,000).
The public is invited to vote on finalists through August 15, 2013 at: Insulindependence.org.
